I have an RB25 getting ready for install and one question that has haunted me in the back of my head is should I put on a metal headgasket before install?

I did, just to be on the safe side and cuz I had time to do it. I paid about 350 total for ARP studs and a GReddy 1.2mm gasket, and it took about 3 hrs including cleaning the combustion chambers and piston heads.

If you do decide to get head studs, order ARP SR20 main studs, they are a perfect match, and only get one set, I had to get two to have enough for the extra cylinders and have some extras around here somewhere. If you pay shipping they are yours.

I plan on making around 350-400 to the wheels that should be bolt ons right?maybe a T3/t04e or something and some beefier injectors in the near future..

SR20 main studs huh, sounds good If I can get a little extra flow the head studs definitly sound like a good idea (just to get it out of the way now).

350-400whp is no sweat for the motor..stick with stock headgasket and compression..

I started to have problems with mine around the 450 range but made 586 on the stock one with no internal mods at all.. I have not found a gt or ss that can even try to keep up...
