headers

I have a 95 240 with hotshot headers installed on it. My check engine light came on like it should have since the first cat was completely gone. I had an exhaust shop move the second o2 sensor to behind the second cat, but the check engine light is still on. Now i'm sure this is a common problem and what have people done to get rid of it?

The wiring might have come loose or they didn't run the connections correctly. I would double cheack and redo them cause it is not really a hard thing to do even though it is a pita.

I extended myu O2 sensor on the Spec and it was fine for a couple months and then the CEL came on so I just rewired it and cleared the code and it has been fine for about a year now.

don't worry about that check engine light....it just like that on S14s when you mess with the exhaust system...unless you just find the light annoying then just get a bung for it and stick in in the exhaust somewhere.

Did you clear it after moving it? You may just need to clear it, in my experience SES/CELs don't go off if you fix the problem, you have to get them cleared (ahem... albeit it was a backward MAF in my case, but still)...

I installed Casper Electronics O2 sim after I installed my hotshot header on my b15 se-r... and ever since I haven't gotten an SES light.

i have the casper electonics o2 sim on my sentra, and it got rid of my ses light. how come you posted this in the sentra forum?

Do they make a Casper Electronics O2 SIM for the 240sx by chance... I have the same problem and would like to get around relocating the O2 sensor.
