quick question if i wanted to get headers would the size of the header that fits to the head be the exact same size as the exhaust port on the head or would it still need to be machined to get an exact fit???

Don’t worry about the header. Just make sure the gaskets are perfectly matched.

question for anyone.... If I pick up the HS header does it get rid of my Cat converter. I thought I read that somewhere on this forum.I need to pass emmission tests so a cat is kinda important.

From what i've read, HS header will get rid of your CAT. Actually it replaces the CAT and the whole downpipe. If you dont have a cat-back exhaust, you can probably run a cat between the header and the exhaust, you'll just need to run the O2 sensor further down the exhaust. Well if you do have it, i dont think ODB1s has it. I was debating for the longest on getting HS header since i had a Greddy *POS* but ended up running my stock back on. Ended up buying Enkei's tho. :D Hey since your in NJ, you going to the Menlo Mall meet on the 1st of feb? If you dont know bout it, check out importfanatix.com

Naw I havent heard about it, I did hear that Greddy was giving you problems from JR. I do have a cat back exhaust, HKS hiper. I just want to make sure if I pick up the HS headers I'll still be able to pass emmission tests. Im from CA so when I go back that'll be kinda important. Wheres Menlo hall from the base?

Oh ****...you know Murgatroyd? LOL small world...who are you anyways? My *** is in Mississippi for tech school then heading out to Georgia for my second class, and with the dates they generated for me so far, imma be out there for the COnvention. :ylsuper See me and Joe's both from socaLi too. But bout the header, I was looking at the HS page and they said that you'd need the second cat, last i checked mine didnt have a 2nd cat. Its a hollow pipe that looked like a cat. The header will replace the cat and part of the down pipe up to the *fake cat*If you need a cat, you can replace the fake cat and put a real one there, just move the 2nd 02 sensor after the new cat. I know a spot out there who can do that for you. Its a small exhaust shop on 38, jes when your coming from fort dix, make a rite onto 38, its a shop on the rite side after the cemetery. *joe should know bout it* Guy would custom make you NEthing, he wus gonna *rebuild/weld* my greddy header and slap a flex pipe on it so it would stress too much but ended up being too broke to do NEthing bout it. As for the NJ meet, check out import fanatix and ask around. There should be peeps who would more than likely help you out and I told Joe bout it, he said he wanna go *also he knows how to get there* Shoot i can give you the direction, jes cant remember what time it is. Go down the turnpike north. Exit off New Brunswick, get on 18 north then get on 1 north towards Newark. The mall should be on the left side bout....12 miles or so and there will be signs. Go towards the back of the mall and there will be a parking deck, go to the top of the deck and they'll be out there. Those peeps were the peeps i've been hanging round with b4 i left 3 wks ago and they're all cool. Lots of S13s and a couple of S14's. A couple of the 13's has SRs so its worth the time. Well imma bounce out...ONe

Im CA from the Tower, SM was my girl working in the RAPCON. Im JR's Sup now. He doesnt know crap, he cant remember about the Mall but he told me how to get to that shop on the 38. I just realized I cant make the meet anyway, I got a mid that night and its at 6pm. Thanks for the info. I just want to make sure my ride will pass the smog check in Diego. Sounds like the moving the 02 sensor will have to work. I'll ask at the shop to maker sure, enjoy the convention and good luck w/ whatever job you get next. CA

yes the hotshot header will get rid of your first cat. it bolts onto the end of your second cat. it was that way on my 96 240sx. i only had one problem, that was the 02 sensor hole on the end of the header by the cat was too big so my stock 02 sensor would not screw in. i found an old 02 sensor i had that had the right size threads so i cut the threaded part off and welded it to my 02 sensor and this worked. i guess you could also just buy a different sized 02 sensor that fits the treads because you can unclip the wire from the back of the sensor. -the hs header is great. it says it gives 12 hp and i agree. i would choose this header over any

Yes it will and if you have an old Hotshot you can call them and ask them to send you a threaded nut that will allow you to use your 02 sensor in the back hole for the smaller 02 sensors.
