Long story short I think I want to redo my exhaust, was thinking of completely removing the factory exhaust, exhaust manifolds, cats, everything back..... and building a new free flowing, possibly catless exhaust....

WHatd o you guys think?? Has anyone ever put a header on there car meant for another??

How hard would it be to get it to fit in there?? Or possible problems getting the old stuff off??

Id really like to tackle this but I see ALOT of headers on ebay, some as low as $100 dollars... would they work..??

I noticed there is only exhaust headers listed for the 03++ G35 and 350z specifically, would they not fit on the Qx4??

it's not that we're not into go-fast. it's that we're not retarded enough to think that 350Z or G35 headers will fit a Pathfinder.

will Tahoe headers fit a Corvette? will they fit a GTO or a G8? or maybe a new Camaro? they all have basically the same engine. :

The intake ports on the R50 heads are larger and completely different from the intake ports on the 350Z or G35 VQ35DE. I would guess that since the intake ports are different that the exhaust ports are also different. Also, you have to worry about clearance; there are a lot of clearance issues on an SUV compared to a sedan/coupe. The header angle is likely different and probably not steep enough for the R50. If it fit the R50 then they would most definitely add that to their compatibility list, it just simply won't fit on Pathfinders/QX4's.

I thought it was the exact same engine no matter the car for the 35de, thought only the trannies and back was the difference in drivetrain

if you don't believe us, buy some 350Z headers and find out the hard way.

All VQ35DE's have the same block, that's it (and maybe the same pistons/crankshaft). The heads are machined for each specific application, in our case it's for torque, for the 350Z it's for horsepower. Here's what I recommend, go to your local Nissan dealership and ask the parts guy to see the exhaust manifold gaskets for the 350Z and Pathfinder (same year) and compare the two. Even if they are similar, it still doesn't mean they will fit since the Pathfinder and the 350Z are completely different chassis.
