this really depends if you have a 2.5...you will have no fitment issue at all, and you'll get an SES, but thats fixed as soon as you use an O2 sim....however if you have a 3.5 you're SOL Quote »Simulators may work at the rear location, but will not work in place of the Wideband O2 sensors that are mounted in the exhaust stream just in front of the (yes you do have precats). There are headers with the O2 sensor bungs, but for some unknown reason, they will not work properly. Many have tried and failed, even when changing the location of them. The engine will run fine, but the front bank shows running too rich and the back bank shows running too lean. I believe that's the order (may be reverse from that), and you'll always get corresponding codes and pop an SES. Always. We in the 02-06 forum have been working on this for close to three years with no positive results. You can go over to that section and read up on it. Problem is that no performance parts manufacturer seems interested in doing R&D to try to solve the problem. I personally don't have enough extra cash laying around to do all the trial and error that it would take to fix the problem. The reason simulators will not work is because the 05-06 and up ecu is more complex than earlier models, and must have a variable reading from the wideband O2 sensors, or it will pop codes. Simulators will just give a false positive, but not a variable reading. So it appears that we're outa luck. Like I said, you can get your car to run good with headers, but you'll get a constant SES and flunk smog tests. there are a few guys who live where they need no smog tests, and have taped over their SES. Problem with that is, if you ever get a major code, you'll never know because your light is taped, or always on, so it won't trip again when needed. Could be dangerous to the health of yor engine. Also, one last point; this is only a V6 problem. I'm not sure of the 07 and up 2.5s, but headers have been successfully placed on, as far as I know, all years of the 2.5 engines. Also, this has not been a problem on the 02-04 3.5 engines, because they have regular O2 sensors in the front locations, not widebands. Simulators will work on those years.[/quote]Got that from another forum...they still have no cure...the 08+ 3.5 also has wibeband O2 sensors so if you dont care about flunking an emission exam, you're good to go
