Some claim that it tends pull a bit harder than before, but not a significant amount. What headers did you have in mind? Just to give you a heads up, a majority of people say its the biggest pain in the arse to install.

I've heard the same thing. Some say it's easier to install headers on a 350Z if you pull the engine first.

Installation PITA is the reason I decided to avoid headers on my G and went with a Cobb AccessPort instead.

Honestly I'm not sure yet as I'm only running a Stage 1 tune with the catback. I will upgrade to the Stage 2 once I get the HFC's installed (and will take it to a shop for a more appropriate custom tune). More me being cautious than anything else. Stillen states 14.5hp for headers, Cobb states 11% HP increase with stage 2 tune. It took me 1/2 an hour to "install" the Cobb (that includes backing up the default flash and flashing with phase 1) whereas the header install would have been a day of misery :). Cost wise they are both close (dependent on headers that are purchased).

I'm not a butt-dyno kinda guy so until I actually get to the track I won't know real improvements.

I did the headers. It is a PITA. I went with NOPI #1 ceramic coated headers. Their reputation (install Wise) seems to precede them. They listed for 420 a pair and are still on sale for >70<. It took at least 12 total hours to install. I had the CAI,Plenum spacer, Injen dual exhaust, before the headers. Other than louder and deeper sound, the power was the same. After a couple days the low to mid range power was quite a bit better. Kind of like the computer learned the new air and exhaust flow? My next step will be Berkteq HFC's. After that, COBB tuning.

Sounds good. I may eventually go with headers but decided to do everything else first. :)

honestly im not worried about the headers being PITA because i have a shop and i have all the right tools, but i was wondering for the ppl who have headers, have the headers ever came loose over time ? for test pipes do i have to buy the adapters for the oxygen sencer ?
