Header Wrap or Jacket or NONE

Hello, I am looking into getting a header wrap tape or jacket. I heard the the jacket is better because it expands so that the header can breath. I heard that the tape will cause the header to rust because the heat has no where to go. The jacket cost twice the price. Has anybody used the wrap or the jacket?Do they work or is this just another thing that makes people rich? THANKS

It's not worth the money. It dramatically reduces the life of your header, and will cause it to crack over time. Don't get one.

That might be why my headers have a few cracks in them and I have to replace them. I do not know the life a header should have, but my wraped ones lasted 6 years and now they have a few cracks.

if they are wraped, there is no were for heat to go, so it expands and cracks. mine is bare and has been on for 14 years (stock) but still.....

I destroyed my DC header on my Integra by wrapping it. It makes some hp, but the life of the header is shortened to about a year, or two.
