I have bought a MEGAN RACING header for my KA24DE-T and it does not fit. I want to know if anyone else has had a problem with fitment. I finally got it to bolt to the head (after a wooden dowel and a 40 oz hammer) but it was tilted too far. The exhaust part of the turbo was on the brake master cylinder. Even more I can not use my 3" v-band piece that connects to the turbo because the master cylinder is completely in the way. There is no way to make it work from what I can see. Short of bending the entire manifold up 1/2" or more I don't see how to make this work.

Has anyone run into this problem before and if so how do you fix it or get around it?

That manifold is not made for a tangential turbo. I think thats your problem from what I read. See picture taken from nico forums, tang is left non tang is right. Tons of people have had this problem including myself,

You have three options- a new manifold for a tang turbo (*cough jgs cough*), sell the megan- you could attempt to find a non tang housing for your turbo or a new non tang turbo- last option would be to modify the manifold which would probably involve cutting the turbo flange off and re-welding it at a different angle.

Well I had no idea about the exhaust housing being different (Tang/non-tang). Thank you for that. I appreciate the information too. I think what I will do is have a few of these manifolds modified and sell them on my website. You should check it out. The company that got me mine done is ChristianKustomz. Their website is http://www.christiankustomz.com. It's been up for about a month so it is still under construction but you can see some pictures and products they are selling. Anyway thanks again and I will post pictures of the new manifold when it is completed.

I took it to the local shop and...CRAP! I thought I could save some money. Well after all that crap it still did not happen. The guy welded it and still had holes. I got one from CHRISTIANKUSTOMZ and !!!!!!!!FIT! It was kind of pricey but well worth it. It took about 2 days to get to me. Check out their website. It's pretty cool and they are adding to it every day. They got some really cool fiberglassing I will be buying soon too. Anyways thanks a lot. Peace out,

I am glad you got it to fit I was waiting for someone to do that to that manifold, tang turbos are so much easier to find.

btw, Didn't you just say that christiankustomz.com is your website on the post right above it??
