I have a 95 240sx. I have had the car about a month now and I have installed cold air and a catback system. I got a pacesetter header but it didn't fit at the egr valve. What header would be recommended? Did anyone else have this problem? I am a welder/fabricator and I'm gonna make my own test pipe. Besides the header what would you recommend for my next upgrade?

most headers wont fit perfectly at the egr vavle, so its not just pacesetter. You may have to bend the valve a lil to get it to fit. Like 99% of people dislike pacesetter headers in general, but ive had mine for half a year and no complains or problems.

I disagree with this statement,I think the problem is that its Pacesetter..Pacesetter makes the $Hi*est header ever..I had one back when i had a KA.And it fit like it was made for a total different car..Buy a Hotshot header..Fit better then the stock manifold..With lots of room. And the EGR and AIV all fit..With NO mod's.

My Hotshot header fit fine with the EGR. The hardest part was getting the damn thing off the stock manifold. Don't know about the AIV since I blocked it off. Still, the Hotshot fit perfectly on my KA24DE.

How do you block off the aiv hole on the hotshot header? Ill be getting a hotshot header after I fix my cooling system, and I have been wondering about that for a while. I dont have the AIV anymore.

SPL makes a plug for the AIV. I suppose you could have someone weld something up for you, but for me the plug was easier and worth the $$$.

I have DC Sports ceramic header. No problems other than getting the EGR on. Just a pain in the *** in general I think. But it definitly changes the tone to a lower one and I did notice a power difference.

The EGR *is* definitely a pain in the ***. I think I ended up using a few gentle taps with a small hammer, a large open ended wrench, a lot of PB Blaster and some swearing and blood.

Also, you have to manhandle the EGR pipe back towards the firewall to get it out of the stock header.

People are saying the hotshot header fits right up, but its not road legal. Does that mean it will mess up my emissions?
