Has anyone elses car sounded like crap afer installing the H.S. header. At idle its louder and then when i drive just normal it sounds like a damn fart can. Im just gonna sell the header and put the stock exhaust manifold back on. What do yall think.

make sure ur gaskets are good. mine sounded like a roar nothin like my friends lawnmower swaped civic

Mine sounds like a damn weedwacker and all the gaskets are brand new atleast exhaust gaskets.

Mine sounds great... alittle more choppier and alittle louder, but it sounds fine. What are you using for the rest of the exhaust ? Are you sure you just dont hate the header because of the money-loss and frustration that it has brought? If it brings power, then wouldnt it just be better to find a different way to change teh sound ?

You shouldnt have a hard time selling it though... You have a DOHC right? HOTSHOT is on a 2 month backorder from what I hear.

when you change to a header you need to change your muffler. Use a big muffler.

I got a magnaflow right now maybe thats causing it. It would be a pain to put the stock stuff back on. What kind of muffler should I get. I don't like huge coffee can size tips. Preferably dual tips.

Get a flowmaster in a Delta series... something in a 50 or 60. Still a decent sound without the buzz.

The rasp doesnt bother me... but I dont drive mine everyday.

I use a Borla from the "boomer series". Its called the "blow torch". I cant even here my car idle and I dont use a cat.

I want a dual tip or dual canister muffler do you know of any that sound good with the header. I have magnaflow right now and it sucks with the header before it sounded greatI still dont know what to do.

just like redshred said, a 50's or 60's series flowmaster and then just pick whatever tip you want, but get it in stainless. If you want a 3 inch muffler your going to need a 50 series, i think 2.5 is the biggest in 60 series but that good for a na motor
