Hey, sorry I've only found minimal info on searching, no real remedy posts.

First off, the stud came out with the nut when removing the exhaust header bolts, forcing me to search for a new stud.

When i tracked down a stud with the correct thread pattern (yes im sure) and correct length, I butted 2 nuts to each other and began to turn it into the block/head while replacing my exhaust header gasket. It never really got hard, and the stud was easy to turn when it was fully inside . I'm sure its stripped, so I'd just like to know opinions on what to do. My thoughts would be to either put JB weld inside and drill and tap it again, OR just thread a larger stud in there.

helicoil it. There are other options to helicoiling it (I forget the name of the product, but you can search for it), but for the sake of your manifold, I'd suggest keeping it the same size.
