Ok Sunday I take my car in to the performance shop I always go to, to have my 3rd generation 1 pieve Hot Shot header installed no biggy. They say it'll be done at 7:00 so I go to get it the EGR doesnt line up they say they'll fix it and I can pick it up the next day. I go back Monday to get it the O2 sensors are fried an extra $140 plus install. I ask them to put the second O2 sensor behind the second cat they put it on the pipe comin off the 3rd cylinder. And on top of all that now my steering wheel gets stuck sometimes when I make right hand turns. Finally its now wednesday I go to get it and the steering wheel is off alignment and O2 sensor still not moved I have to wait until tomorrow afternoon to get it.

I was wondering why my steering wheel gets stuck, I looked in there and the coupler wasn't close to anything i wanna know how to fix this without spending money.

I already spent 335 just to get the header installed with the new O2 sensors I've basically decided to never go to this shop again.

It sounds to me like the shop working on your car sucks A$$. They need to plug up the front o2 sensor hole and plumb the front o2 in the collector under the car and make a new hole after your cat for the rear o2. My EGR pipe did not line up either so I took a 1.2 extension rod and a hammer and smacked the 1-inch tube coming of the header to bend it so the EGR pipe would line up. It is hard to do this mod but well worth it. If they did not mark you steering shaft with paint your steering wheel will never line up until you get an alignment. MAKE THEM PAY!

holly sh*t dude, 335 just for installation and the fu##ed up your car too. i installed my headers myself in about 2hrs and it was very easy. man i would be pissed at that shop and i wouldnt pay them a penny for all that. sounds like they are screwing it up on purpose because there should not be all those problems.

What is the shop's name? I live in Dallas too and want to make sure I never go there. Email me if you don't want to post the name on the forum. [email protected]

The shop is called MObile Entertainment in Grapevine and the reason it cost me 335 was because I had to buy both the O2 sensors for like 150 plus install. They only charged me 100 for the header install. They did get everything fixed except for the steering because there mechanic won't be in the shop this weekend. But theyre gonna put a small dent in the header to clear the steering coupler tomorrow and Im still trying to figure out how to fix the EGR fitment should I just have a muffler shop weld it in place.

Bottomline the shop has done everything in their power to fix what they f***ed. But im just gonna ask them to get the steering realigned and never go there again.

I just took a hacksaw to the EGR line and screwed it in place and took some rubber tubing and shoved it on there. It held for a day tomorrow im goin to have an exhaust shop weld a little piece of pipe in there.

Did you get your o2 sensors in the right place?

Make sure they put a decent dent in it hehe. Mine did the same thing, but I always accredited it to moving the knuckle off of its original knotches, then fixing it with a needed alignment vs aligning the knuckle prior to it. I pretty much beat the headder in with the knuckle and only really knotice it while super hard auto-x corners now... I was thinking of tapping it in slightly some more, adding a device (soloII STS class legal) to restrict engine movement, or shaving a tiny bit off the outer edge of the knuckle where it hits.

Reminds me to take care of that tommorow for sundays event :)

I decide im just gonna put the stock exhaust manifold back on. The header didn't make much power and my car sounds like sh*t.
