Ok guys. I recently bought a 4-2-1 race header from weapon-r.
http://www.weapon-r.com/index.php?act=v ... ct&id=2224

The B16 models have 2 O2 sensors before the cat and 2 sensors after the cat. The race headers eliminated the cat. I was able to remove the sensors after the cat and install them with CEL eliminator kits. I was not able to remove the sensors before the cat since they were seized in there. I temporarily plugged the O2 bongs before the cat with galvanized plugs from home depot so that i can drive it without having my carsound like an 18 wheeler coming down the road :nono: . The car drove fine, header gave no problems. Check engine light was on, but that was because i was missing 2 sensors. I ordered 2 new sensors which came in the other day. After the install, my idle seems to have dropped. :wtf2: The engine seems to want to shut off and it shakes the whole car. But this is only at idle. Idk exactly what the problem is. It could be that the precat sensors are reading my A/F ratio to be too lean, but idk for sure. I do not have an OBDII scanner to read the codes it is giving.

I have come to the conclusion that i might need to tune my computer.

Has anyone else installed this header with the same or similar issue?

I've tried resetting the computer, but that doesn't seem to help. Tomorrow i'm going to try disconnecting the 2 precat sensors and see if the problem persists or if it stops. I do know that the precat sensors are good because they are BRAND NEW.

Spoke to Performance Motorsport out in Smithtown NY. They seem to REALLY know they're stuff. Reassuring after reading the one and on;y review about them which was a really bad one. They advised me to check for leaks, which I had already done, and the last thing they told me was to swap the 2 upper sensors with each other. If that fails, then they'll have me schedule and appointment with them so that they can look at it. According to them, sometimes they had to install an Uprev patch to tell the computer to read only one sensor instead of both because of the A/F ratio is too lean.

Getting my new sensors in today, going to try out their swapping theory tomorrow. Hopefully that helps.
