Headers aren't available for my Q45/240Z swap so I'm going to make some header flanges on a water jet machine, I will use 1/4' thick steel. I might as well make extras since most of the costs are in the programing. If any one is interested in them for $75 shoot me a pm.

I'd like to see them made out of a little thicker material than 1/4" I'd think you would see some warping at 1/4.

Is it possible to make the head side oval and the tube side round 1.5"

The thinnest I would recommend is 3/8 but 1/2 would be nice.

1/2" it is then!

That is a good idea but would require a 3 axis wire cut EDM. I was thinking of swedging short tubes flared out to fit better then build from there.

Whats wrong with cutting the pipes off of the stock manifold and using the flange? Also, did you see the VH/VK header thread a couple down? I am doing a 240z project as well and am going to try using modified Titan headers.

Hey, that's a good idea. maybe the Titan headers on ebay could be cut and welded to the stock VH flanges? I have a Q45 still in the car so I haven't been able to compare it. I'm still worried about how much I would have to modify the ebay ones, They might not tuck in the Z. I want to run side pipes so I might just have to build off the stock VH flanges. How is your project coming?
