header and exhaust help

Im looking into putting a catback on my 04 sentra and im kinda new to performance tuneing, does pipe size make a major difference in performance if so what would be the best size? also anyone have any input on OBX headers ive heard good and bad about them. Sry if repeating any threds just got tired of looking through all the pages.

obx...u get what u pay for but mostly its up to the individual so it would be ur call. i prefer pacesetter of hotshot. im runnin the pacesetter now.

they dont have one that will fit my year (2004) unless the earlyer versions will work

I just put a set of OBX headers on my G20, and honestly, I wouldn't buy them again. I ended up taking them to a muffler shop to get them "modified" to fit my car! It was missing a bung for my EGR tube and the flange wouldn't fit on right. You get what you pay for, definately. As for the pipe size, I wouldn't go bigger 2.5", really you shouldn't go beyond 2.25" for a N/A engine. Just shop around, you'll find a decent set.

This guy has a 1.8. There was a post about a new header for the 1.8 recently, it should still be on the first page of Sentra General. You might still be able to find one of the Hotshot units as well.

Use 2.25in exhaust piping. You wouldn't fill up anything bigger anyway.

yea I saw that post but apparently hotshot is being sold so they cleared out their inventory. I saw one on 2xracing.com but they dont have a pic, they do have one made by weaponr tho

I don't know about the WeaponR. It's probably a Hotshot copy anyway. Google it and see if you can find some feedback on it.
