Man the air was really really good, but it was too cold :-( I could not get traction. I'm talking about spinning so bad that the car spun all the way through 1st gear, broke loose in 2nd almost loosing control then went back into first and started the process again. I couldn't leave at more then half throttle. I was breaking traction on the 2-3 shift hard enough to pitch the back end out it was 38 degrees! The track surface was so cold it was very difficult to keep the car on the track. Heres a slip from a race where I gave the car full throttle off the line. It spun so much I ran a 14.79 @ 98.822 the car was spinning all the way through the 330 and I was fighting to keep it on the track. Heres the slip
I ran so many 14.0's it made me sick. I got in 10 runs! and almost ran the car out of gas LOL
I got treed by a new Mustang GT with intake and drag radials. He ran a 14.170 @ 97.517 to my 14.097 @ 99.588 but his reaction time was .187 and mine was .495 so he crossed the line 1st even though I had a faster time. Heres the slip
There were two 2006 Nissan 350Z's out there both automatic transmissions. I raced one of them twice and let some of their guys ride with me and video the race. They were real cool but the car was running 14.8 to my 14.2 That should give you an idea how much faster the 2007 G35 is then the 2006!! Here a video ignore me and my new buddy talking
I lost to a SRT-8 300, SRT-8 Magnumn both by 5 tenths but took them until the 60' and was loosing by 2 tenths at the 1/8th then troque took over.
I beat a ACURA RSX running a HUGE single turbo, evident by his time of 14.732 @ 111.333 to my 14.254 @99.959. He was making enough power at 9 psi to break the passenger side half shaft where it went into the transmission.
I beat a 4 door Civic SI twice. I beat a 2000 Honda S2000 with drag radials, a carbon fiber hood and intake. He ran a 14.2 at 97.8 to my 14.084 @ 99.78 and I talked to the driver. He has been taking the car to the track since new and cut a .2 reaction time so the G35 is faster then a S2000!
There was a older M3 out there running 14.4's I would have LOVED to humiliate him but we never got lined up together.
