Alright, it's time for me to say buy or don't buy. Tell me if this car sounds streetable as an every day daily driver and will last or if it will croak after a couple of years/months. And can the stock block handle lots of horse power? Whats safe for a stock block if you want it to last? This is the list of modifications the owner has given me.

" There are about 145k on the car, 17k on the engine. Original block, but everything else has been upgraded. BUILT KA-24DE (not the smaller SR-20). Forged pistons (8.5:1), Eagle forged rods, upgraded bearings, total seal piston rings.- Brand new with warranty REAL Garrett GT35R liquid-cooled, dual ball-bearing turbo (turbo has less than a thousand miles on it) with ported shroud; top mount turbo manifold.- 3.5" Downpipe and 3" Full exhaust- Adjustable external wastegate (currently set at 10 psi)- Paxton adjustable fuel pressure regulator with oil filled gauge- Huge FMIC with 2.5" Piping- HKS SSQV BOV- Clutchmasters 500 ft/lb clutch (sprung clutch, not too stiff)- Super-HICAS LSD- Apexi SAFC-II- Autometer Boost & A/F gauges- MSD 6AL-BTM- Blitz Dual-Solenoid electronic boost controller, currently set at 10/15/18/22 psi- Z32 MAF- Power steering- Power Windows & Locks- Cruise Control- COLD *** A/C- 4ga Amp wiring "

The gentleman said it is most likely putting out about 500hp on the current set up which I don't know if thats true or not. I'm afraid I'll spend the money to buy this car and then the engine will blow and I'll be stuck riding my bicycle. Let me know if you think this engine will hold up. Thanks a lot.

You need to drive it to see how it handles. Listen to the motor for any unusual noises, bearing knocks. See if it idles smoothly. Check for oil burning.

It may be worth your time to do compression test and leakdown test on all cylinders.

If you want it to last, don't run high boost like 18 to 20 psi; keep it around 10 to 15.

What's the guy asking for it?

Sounds like someone else built his motor. Not necessarily a bad bunch of parts (except for Fuel manegement ). Based on parts list/boost it is not likely at 500hp (probably close to high 300's). Definitely look it over good and drive it--check compression.

He's asking $8800, what do you think? The outside is completely stock with stock rims and in pretty good condition. I know for sure $5000 will get you to about 487hp and you can get a zenki for like $3000. I think $8000 is more reasonable for what is being sold. Whats your opinions?

A bit pricey. Take the time to run through the check list that I posted previously; don't fully trust the seller's claims. An old saying: "Buyer Beware".

The car is completely stock on the outside and green by the way. Some people thought they knew the car, but gave the wrong color description.

What are your plans for it? 500 hp is completely useless for a daily driver. Daily driver implies a car that would be reliable, relatively inexpensive to operate, and mild mannered. A 500 hp fully built turbocharged KA24DE with stock size tires and riding on stock suspension does not fulfill any of those categories.
