I have another KA I'm rebuilding right now. Actually about half of one... dont get me started. Anyway say I had some extra money to mess around with. I can get the head ported and polished for around $400. Or I could get the fidanza flywheel for pretty much the same. My question is which one is going to give me more of a performance gain? Thanks

You can port and polish the head yourself, to a limited extent. I say flywheel.

With a dremel tool or a die grinder. Just be carefull you dont remove too much material.

I would go with the flywheel. While its not making horsepower, it sure does make the car feel a WHOLE lot different!

FlywheelYou or a machine shop can ruin and even hurt performance if done.A good port and polish cost quite more and requires flowbenching at least.Get a flywheel and pulley with that $$.Even a used one with replaceable friction section.
