I plan on overhauling the head on my RB25 and had a question to you all that have had exp with Ferrea. I plan on purchasing Tomei Valve Springs, Pro Cams, Ferrea Valves, Spring Seat and Titanium Retainers. My Question is will the Tomei Springs be compatable with the Ferrea Spring Seat and Ti Retainers, or should I just get the Ferrea Springs?? Any advise would be helpful, I plan on calling them up tomorrow and checking...

Well, the springs need to be able to handle the cams. As long as the seat pressure, open pressure, lift and bind specs work with your cams any spring will work. Seat and retainers need to be compatible with your head and choice of spring(s). Ferrea makes some great products, as do Eibach and Supertech, though I am not sure if they offer RB applications.

supertech only does rb26 and they are AWESOME and cheap to boot, but for you to run procams you NEED solid lifter, plus u neeed to machine head for clearance on the lift cuz i think the maz u can run is like 8.8 and the pro are liek 10.1 or something like that man i had a chance to get a neo head with the solid lifters for 600ish i was just broke sigh i wish i bought it yeah i was researching cams outside the tomei poncams and it starts to get EXPENSIVE rhdjapan.com might have some of the parts your gunna need

The valves that Ferrea lists for the RB25 ARE for the NEO head. That is why they are about 2 cm longer than the dimension given in the FSM. If you buy valves from them, they will have to be machined shorter for hydraulic lifters(like mine were), but at least they will do it for free. I would agree with signalpuke that you probably can't mix and match valve train parts unless their application designs happen to be similar. That's where you get to research it for yourself

Since you are planning on running big cams and grinding out material to accomodate them you will be making a big metal-dust mess in your head. Are you planning on porting/polishing while you are in there too?

Cool so Darius if I call and order them I should tell them that I need them to machine the Valves for a S1 RB25? Who did you talk to?

Call and ask for Zeke. I talked to him and tried to convince him that an S1/S2 valve line would be simple to do and you could sell a decent number of sets. He didn't think so, but maybe more attention will get him to change his mind.

$484 shipped from compulsivehp.com. Jim is up to speed on the situation with the valves.

Regardless of who you go with, they should be able to provide you with a spec sheet. Something like this:

If these guys( http://www.z1performance.com ) would have responded sooner I prolly would have gone with their house valve spring which is made by Ferrea.
