head unit trouble

So i was driving and i decided to turn my aftermarket alpine cda-117 all the way up to 35 and once is went form 34 to 35 it just turned off and wont go back on. any ideas?

Blew a fuse from the sound of it. Sounds like it's drawing a lot of power. It's mostly not the in-line fuse on the deck but check that too, check your stereo fuses in the fuse panel to see if one is melted or blown. That's probably the cause.

Definitely a fuse. As a general rule of thumb I NEVER turn my system up past 3/4 of maximum, usually hang around 2/3. And that of course is with tuned amps, they are not operating at full gain either.

Minus the issue of the power draw the signal usually get dirty anyways and sounds like crap. Going full tilt is a waste. If it needs to be louder, it's time for a bigger amp (if you have one) and better speakers.
