Hey Everyone,

I want to change out my radio and put in a Jensen VM8013HD......however, because I have Sat Radio, it going to cost an extra $260 for some bs parts to keep my Sat hooked up. Anyone know or installed a head unit that will integrate into the factory Sat or am I just whistling Dixie?

Thanks for the input...

Unfortunately I don't think adding satellite radio is to any aftermarket head unit. While it might be possible to get the stock receiver/antenna to work, it would take a whole bunch of technical know-how that few people have (maybe even some custom coding and firmware).

I'm pretty sure every aftermarket head unit has an external satellite receiver (since those who want it are in the minority - it doesn't make sense to make the head unit larger and more expensive for the majority of buyers). I hate saying it, but I think you're out of luck. Sorry.

I just had a nice long conversation with a guy from Cartoys......basically, as AppleBonker pointed out, I'm out of luck. Since I already have Sat, and Bluetooth, if I want a new unit I'd have to buy a module for the Sat and one for the Bluetooth to "talk" to the new unit......approx. $400 in parts for stuff I already have.....totally not worth it. So I'm getting a unit that integrates my iphone into the radio system, so I can control and charge the iphone/ipod from my radio preset buttons.........

Doesn't take of the fact that I hate our radio display, but it does eliminate cords for my iphone hookup & gives me easier control for my music.....

That's where they get you. Head units that have everything include lump that cost into the head unit price too. You wont touch those options on a decent HU for under $1000 MSRP.
