I have searched the forums and everywhere online and this is the only kit that I can find for an '06 G35 sedan... ..is there an alternative that you know of?

I just really want to install an aftermarket head unit because I think the overall audio is sub par...didn't even know that there's a SUB in the car until I read the manual. Needless to say, the sub is weak and I think with a new head unit and an aftermarket 8" Sub should make all the difference, hopefully. Will the stock amp suffice for an aftermarket 8" sub?

Should I install new speakers as well or will the stock ones be good enough with a new head unit? I also have two 12" Kickers that I am putting in the trunk so I need the highs to scream so the subs do not drown them out.

Thoughts?

For my 05, I decided to install a sub along with the OEM Bose for mids/highs. I know on the coupe the rear seat speaker is the "sub", so that's the input I used for my amp.

As far as what size sub to go with, you need to consider what kind of music do you listen to and at what volume level. Personally, I like loud music so I went with dual-10's and a huge amp.

As for that dash kit, good god is that thing fugly. If I could, I'd have a puking emoticon but none of them are loading at the moment.

You can get the OEM dash kit that'll house an aftermarket unit. Riverside Infiniti in CA has an eBay store and they sell these kits as they have them, but they are always in limited quantities. You can also check out http://www.grubbsperformance.com as well.

No stock amp with a sub of any kind.

Oh, and also, I would never ever buy from a company that spells Infiniti as Infinity. Never. If they can't get that right, who knows what else they can't get right.
