head swap questions

ok ive read the here is proof thread and now i have a few questions...what ecu would i use since the vehicle the swap would happen in will be a 97 hardbody and is there anything else i should since this is a truck and not a hardbody...are the ecu's the same ,is there anythingi need to add or change .....
