It's one problem after another thats taking me in further and further into the motor. First of all I was doing was valve stem seals when one of the half moon pieces in the valve spring assembley went some where in my head or else where as I thought. I probed around for a while with a magnet tool hopeing to locate it with no luck and used an extra one I had. I go to put everything back together and realize the t- chain jumped a tooth. I pull the front t chain cover to realign it and realize the cover does not go back on without the head or bottom end being pulled. So last night I am getting the head ready to pull which is not that hard until Im losening up all of the head studs and to my amazement one of the head studs striped a little soooo....huh....I take a deep breath and continue to tap on the tool that you use to get the studs out with and eventually I think to look inside the studs top and I see the lost half moon smashed inside the top. So now I have to find a way to get the smashed half moon out and some how get the stud out. Any ideas after I get the half moon out and the stud still wants to not turn?

do you mean the top of the head bolt where you insert the hex wrench. if this the case use a smaller drill than the hole and drill the pieces out. How hard were hitting the bolt to make a hardned piece of steel get stuck? A little info about engine buliding if you think you need to beat the hell out of it its time to take a break
