I'm devastated. I test drove a g37 sport coupe today. It was exactly what I wanted, but I'm 6'4 and my head was hitting the roof, even slouched back. Is it the sports seats? I left upset, and now wonder if the regular coupe would have a bit more room (minus the sport seats). Is this true? I asked about getting a 2010 base, without the moonroof but was told they couldn't locate a model like this?

Last question (I'm new to this). Is it true you can order the car that you want? How does this work? When is the deadline?

Thanks for helping an infiniti newbie.

I would suggest searching autotrader and cars.com for a base unit without sunroof.
You have to look at the pics carefully cause they don't usually advertise that it doesn't have a sunroof. I believe that most that don't also do not have heated seats, so also look for missing heated seat buttons.
Good Luck!

Try one without the sunroof. The sunroof knocks a full inch off the headroom. I'm 6' 5" and bought my 2006 G35 coupe without the sunroof just for that reason.

Down side is a most of the options required the sunroof, or they did in 2006. Fortunately, even a bottom of the line Infinity is a pretty well decked out car. :yesnod

Yeah, sunroof kills headroom.

Believe head room was reduced in G37 vs G35, also sedan would have more room than coupe.

There was a mod done for G35's when people didnt have a lot of headroom. Below the seat there is a "STOP" position for when you lower the seats. You can spin the nut on that (not an easy task) and most people get an additional .5-1" of head room.
