I'm replacing the head on my KA24DE soon, and i am planning to go KA-T in the future. Is there anything i should replace while i got the head off?

Headgasket should be replaced any time you pull the head off. Maybe intake or exhaust mani gaskets as well if you take those off while pulling the head. Besides that not really.

valve seals are a nice cheap thing to change while youre in there.

Yeah if youre going to dig into the head itself there are a bunch of things that could be worked on... Valve seals like virus said, shims, guides, the valves themselves, head bolts (switch to ARP?), etc.

You should also take a gander at all your timing guides and tensioners, make sure theyre in good shape as well.

i just found out the motor i am getting the head from has been sitting outside, so more than likely the motor has gotten rained on. My question is, would the head still be good?

Being outside likely won't present a problem to the structure of the head, but the integrity of the seals, guides, etc. may be questionable. If you're planning to rebuild the entire thing, then confirm it's not cracked oand/or warped and you're probably good to go. If you were looking to be able to just drop it in for the most part, then you may want to look for a better source.
