i got a 1993 head with a stuck lifter bucket. my problem is to get the bucket out i need to take the head off so i mine as well get arp head studs and do the ehadgaskter and everything while im in there.
im also baffled on how to rebuild a head. i would like to save as much money but i wanna spend the money to do it correctly so i wont have head issues. plan was to reuse camshafts and just buy all new keepers springs retainers valves and lifter buckets. but im not sure what size valves and etc. its stock i belive but i do know this motor has been opened before. i dont know if it had machine work.
basically im looking for a step by step. i could just buy a single lifter bucket for the one that is stuck/? and reuse the stock valves and springs. and just super clean and lap the valves.
but i also thing all new everything done correctly would be best too. i plan on building a sr20 during the winter so i am not too attached to it, but i want a reliable na motor to fall back when the sr blows up

in the banner above, Service Manuals, download the FSM for your car. Will have all of those specs in the EM section of the manual. I rebuilt the head on my KA, unkown mileage, and I was fine re-using everything but the valve seals. Supertech makes valves and I believe bronze valve guides for them as well. Good luck.
