the dohc head has been done with success. but this makes a much higher compression ratio which would be very bad for a turbo car without very good tunning. the dohc head swap would be a fun n/a car. the turbo kaet will have more potential for high power tho. DONT MIX THEM

This sucks..I wanted either a turbo ka, since i have low miles...or a sr...I couldnt afford a sr so i went turbo ka... i dont have it on yet but I wanted a new head...How high of a compression would i have to go...Probably nothing a thicker head gasket could solve. I want a turbo car...Im tired of being na... Well Ill just look for a SOHC head, know any good ones around???

you were correct the first time. you'll need a thicker head gasket to lower the compression ratio.

Im not sure that you can get a gasket that thick to lower it enough to make it relatively safe, 11.6 to one is one heck of a compression( but I may be wrong)
