not to hard at all just make sure you put everything back on timing.. and keep a fsm nearby,,

so i just need to take the intake off but it is being a pain to do know i found two bold that where hold it to a bracket is there anymore that i dont know

so i have everything pull of the intake manifold but it does not what to move does anyone have pictures of what needs to be remove so i can see what i miss

You need to take the head and intake manifold off at the same time. There are studs on both sides of the intake manifold which make it so it cant move in either direction. Just remove your header and your good to pull it straight up and out.

It's not hard at all but it is very time consuming. be prepared to spend a good weekend on the job. all the info you need to do the job is located in the tech forume

so got the head off thanks for the help guys i have to say the head are lot lighter than the cast iron ones also does anyone have pic on the hose in the back area

those are for the heater core if you are referring to the silver wrapped hose....if that is it i can tell you which one goes where since there is a inlet and outlet hose

I'm curious as well. I'm replacing my buddy's for him this weekend, and am deciding if I want to tear into mine soon as well.

Never hurts to do the maintenance before it's completely necessary.

so i got my head back on and timing chain cover back on too so have little bit more than i am ready to drive my 240 again i also still have to install my injen air intake i am going to wait on that to make sure that i have no oil leaks also does anyone know the torque spec on time chain cover bolts

well, it sucks I didn't see this earlier because for 80 bucks you can get a cam ground by oregon cam grinders for your car. Its pretty easy to get the cam back off on a SOHC though. So, think about it. peace.

so i have finish everything and started it up and it started to make a noise that i never use to make i have no clue what i could be does anyone know what it could be ?? i have video of the sound this sucks

sounds like mine did....I think the lifters just need to bleed out some of the air...
