would it be better if i would go with a standard valve job or try and find a head that has port and polish? cuz my friend said some people sell their heads that have been port and polished for cheap. does anyone know where i would find it? i would have my head port and polished but its gonna cost me a shat load.

its not really worth it unless your going for big power. you will not see and huge difference. the sr20 head is pretty decent stock. port match your intake and exhaust mani and call it a day.

this is ture, i'd also look to replace your valve stem seals and change springs and retainers while its out.

other then that though its money better spend else where

i guess ive made my decision, im just going to have my HG replaced with 1.1mm apexi metal HG and valve seals replaced. while in the process just get a standard valve job. i was thinkin about getteing cams but ill wait for upgrade turbo. yeah i got new valve seals but not springs and retainers. Is this a must? For now i dont plan to go big numbers. At least mid to high 2hundered with intake, DP, 3inch straight exaust, UR crank pulley, hybrid FMIC, and soon to have boost controller. i plan to upgrade turbo later.

no you don't have to have springs and retainers.......but to upgrade your cams later do you really want to pull the head off again?
