who are you guys getting to port your heads? i know some of you are using the local machine shop, but are there any experienced nissan head porters who REALLY know what they are doing? also can any of you nissan masters point out spots on the ca18det head to really pay attention to? or will just the basics do the job? opinions on chamber work would be appreciated too. thanks

a head is a head, short side radius and the valve bowl are where you make your best gains. Yes experience with a certain type of head may yeild slightly better ports but the basics apply on just about any OHV engine.

so would you recommend just a good polish and smoothing over actually taking "meat" out of the pocket?
