I was looking on some mods on the rb26 engine section.

I'v seen this modification on rb26 head, is this modification needed on ca18?

Does anyone get informations about that, because these two engines are very similar in there specs.

It's been done on the CA18, but I have yet to see any evidence that the CA18 has the same oil pooling problems that the RB does. I've personally had my motor at about 7K rpm in 5th gear for about 30 seconds straight and I never saw any drop in oil pressure indicating oil starvation due to the pan pumping into the head.

I have it, its a simple modification and i have seen some engines "throwing out" oil from the ventilation under high rpm for a period of time.
I dont see any "downsides" to it.
I have 2, one on each side of the head.
Very overkill but thats how i like it.

I cant find any picture of them done and installed, but you can see the basic idea here:

I made a quick drawing of how i have done it, i dont remember the measurements but you wont be having any trouble finding out that yourself.

ok thanks, I got the idea.

How did you fixed it to the head?

Did you milled a thread, to put it instead of the OEM hex plug?

No, the circle you marked there goes to the water passage.
The two holes on either side above that is where i mount these.
They are just press fit and some liquid gasket for extra sealing

That is probably a better/easyer way to do it if you dont have access a lathe. :)
