I ahve an oil leak at the back of my head I am not sure if it is coming from the valve cover gasket or from the head gasket. I assume it is valve cover because i don't think the HG would leak oil externally what do you guys think?

My second question. Does anybody know what these to plugs go to on the back of a SOHC engine? Can I remove them and the associated hardware?

Fix valve cover gasket

Fix exhaust manifold stud

and yes, you can remove both of those vacuum control solenoids, tie up the connectors. Sometime here soon you may be able to use those for other functions such as water injection control etc.. its in the works.
