head lamps

I have a 89 240, and would like to put on some brighter head lamps, but i can't find any. Anyone know where i can find some bright head lamps? i'm looking to spend $100 max

I remember seeing a site somewhere that offers a kit to replace (redesign) the sealed beam lights...it was a conversion to put the small halogen bulbs into the full size sealed beam lense .. that way you can use any replacement halogen that fits the socket including super blues and the like. I am sorry I dont remember where...maybe a google search would help...

PDM's website has the euro-spec h4 conversions. People also recommend sylvania silverstars.

I have not had success with H4 conversions as they tend to not seal properly around the base of the bulb and let moisture in and not have a cut-off, but I have not used the Hella conversion and that may be totally different. So if anybody does have the Hella conversion please tell me how it worked out.

Snce my bad run-in with H4 conversion I've been strictly using Silverstars and they work great!
