head is shot, new motor?

Ok here is the verdict: my number 1 cylinder is leaking coolant into my cylinder per my head. So I am thinking it is probably gonna be cheaper to get a new motor rather than repairing the problem. By new motor I mean used. Any advice or where I can get a cheap one that's decent? thanks

Do you plan to do the work yourself? The actual head gasket is cheap. But if your paying someone to perform the work, well that might not be so cheap.

it's not just the head gasket, my head is cracked. And I am paying someone to do it, I really don't have any time to mess with it. I wish I did to save the money, but I am working 7 days a week so no time for anything else.

Sounds like a case for a new/used motor from a salvage yard or a jdm importer. Try out car-part.com. It's a online salvage yard search engine.
