Hey guys thanks for the advice on the head removal and egr ****. I got the egr trash removed and the head is off to motor tech for over sized valves and new springs amongst other things.

This being my first build/rebuild I have no idea which way to go about removing the lower end. should i drop it under the car or pull it out with my engine puller? Also, should I pull out the transmission as well or disconnect lower end from the trans. A new clutch is going in anyway. Any ideas would be a big help. Thanks. - Steve Vinci

why would you do make a ka25? what do you wanna do make it more rev-unhappy and cut the rev limit shorter?

Simply boring it out shouldn't make it any more rev unhappy would it? Piston speeds would stay the same.

Disconnect transmission and pull from the hood, so much easier. Piston speeds will still be the same if you bore it out.
