Well today my head gasket took a crap and now I have internal engine damage to boot.I still owe $2500 on this car!My question is this: would it be worth it to get another KA series motor? And if so how hard would it be to convert to DE from an E and what would the approximate cost be? Thanks guys in advance.

BTW:SR's and CA's are not an option. :(

You could pick up a KA24DE for around 500 w/ transmission and all. ( just an estimate, sometimes its higher sometimes its lower ) Installation will be expensive, and you'll need new power steering and AC components. You also have to make sure you get the complete harness and ecu as the E will not plug into a DE. As I said a bit ago, installation will be huge. It will probably cost a minimum of 1000 with a hopeful maximum of 2000, but most likely somewhere in the middle ground between those two figures.
