Alright, I think that my head gasket is gone. I've been having sputtering problems a lot and white smoke. But the thing is, I compression checked it and all the cylinders are between 140-150 which isnt too bad. But I checked my oil today and it was milky . So I'm thinking it is the gasket. Also I am losing coolant. Have to put more water in every 50-60 miles because it starts to overheat. Anyone have any ideas besides mine? Thanks

change your oil immediately. coolant in your oil will scorch your bearings.

change the oil, and run the car up to temperature with the radiator cap off. if you can smell fuel/exhaust comming out of the radiator then your HG is shot.

this needs immediate attention, or you will blow your motor.

may be cracked head to. you need to get that cyl head off and get a look at it. as IvoryJ30T said dont drive it in this condition or you'll cook your engine.

but if my head gasket was blown or my head was cracked wouldn't my compression be really low?

your timing chain may have eaten into the coolant jacket if its loose. take you valve cover off. pressureize the cooling system with a pressure tester and see if coolant is leaking into the cover area. BUT if your shooting thick white smoke that indicates you have blown your head gasket. The smoke will be so thick you cant see through it.

Well I have no other choice than to drive it so oh well. When it goes it goes and then I'll HAVE to get a new engine. But it does blow white smoke, only once in a while though. But when it does...watch out. I don't know what the hell is wrong...oh well...the new engine will take care of my problems, for the time being. Thanks
