My first time here. I hope I'm clear, but I am looking for what is the best arrangement for my head gasket. I have a 95 240, ka24de, and I wonder what water jackets should remain open, closed, etc. or does this depend on the arrangement. Any info would be appreciated or am I just reading too much in to this.

I haven't heard anything about closing off any water passages or any arrangements like that.

I'm not a head gasket guru, but I have read a couple things about OEM gaskets being good, and ROL, but my word on head gaskets is very limited.

I havn't heard of anyone closing off any water jackets while replacing a head gasket.
