Head gasket size?

lets say I have a stock Ka24de head which uses a 89mm head gasket. The head gasket I want is on back order and the guy said it would be ok to go a size bigger (90mm). Will this be ok?

Im sure you can use a 90mm if your bore is 89. I will be using an 87mm on my 86mm sr.
