head gasket question rb20

Just purchased a tomei 1.5 mm head gasket and wondered if i needed to do anything special to the head and block. Is it really necessary to have a mirror finish on both to have a good seal? All advice much appreciated.

Yes you need to have both the head and block decks machined to a very smooth finish. You'll have to read the instructions on the gasket to see what "RA" is required.
