Head gasket question ??? and ebay intercooler question

the motor has been rebuild and already back to my Car, But I just realize something werid.

look the picture below, the picture 1







the piston on the far right,around the cylinder wall, there are holes ,i believe they are waterjacket passage . but then I took off the brand new gasket(it is from Courtesy NISSAN), all 4 cylinders has water jacket . shouldn't the gasket have holes for the water to pass throught?did I get a wrong gasket?

I purchased one of those "huge" intercooler on ebay for 250 shipped a while back( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...33742 ), I think it's big, anyways, they are bar and plate, I compared to a Spearco FMIC ( i used to have one), the quality aren't that much of the different , but I am not sure how effeicent they are... has anyone use one of them before? If you have let me know how you like it. I plan to run it for 20psi.

i cannot answer your headgasket question...but as for the IC...i had a friend buy one of those and his works fine...you should be ok to 30psi...
