So im doing a head gasket job on my 89 240. Got the head out and getting ready to take to machine shop any tips for the insalation process.....???

im doing the same thing. got mine off and it is warped bad! one thing you need to make sure of is that you dial pins stay in the block. and the biggest thing remembering where everything goes.....hahaha

edit:oh yeah when you take it to the machine shop, you can save yourself some dough and remove all the valves and such. when you take them out just find an old cardboard box ad number it 1234 and poke holes in it for the valves. it is easier to keep up with.

Hope you bought new head studs, stock ones cannot be reused.
