Hi,

I know that Felpro gaskets are very good. Does anyone here know anything about DNJ or Beck/Arnley head gaskets that Rock Auto sells? They're both a lot cheaper, but a head gasket is such an important part that I'm not sure if I should chance it.

I'm not going for high horsepower, just 10 psi with a T28 turbo.

Thanks

I know money is always a concern, but I don't think it's a good idea to skimp on something like a Head Gasket. Unless you WANT to be the guinea pig and test it for all of us. If not, stick with the Fel Pro. I've used a half dozen of them and NEVER had a failure.

That reminds me of something else. My machinist said that shorter oil filters result in lower oil pressure. Does anyone know of a long oil filter that will bolt up to a CA? I'm using a remote adapter, so fitment isn't an issue.

5.0 Mustang filter. I used to use those on my CAs, RBs, and Ls. It's huge, but the threads are the same as well as the o-ring. The Fram number is PH8A, but get a quality one that crosses over.

Thanks for that. I guess I can just tell them an 87 Mustang 302 and be good...

Just get you down to the deal-ur-ship and purchase a new one. I don't think they cost a whole lot. Or FelPro. Either way.

I thought this thread was about head gaskets, not oil filters?

TMS isn't lucid most of the time. Just shake your head and tell him yes.
