I have a 1993 N/A 240sx all stock, engine has been rebuild from top to bottom, been having overheating problems, yes i read the other post and forum search. One day on my way back from work it the temp started to rise, stop at the store check the water, was boiling, drove it back home, removed the thermo, and the water pump and both are fine, new radiator cap, radiator is fine too.there is no smoke, oil looks fine, cluch fan,and electric fan work and kick, when it has to.but noties some oil stains under the exhaust manifold, but the car sounds, like it has a exhaust leek, and everytime i start the car i smell coolant, don't know what else to try, going to remove the thermostat and see if it get's hot. after that maybe head gasket removal, any steps on how to remove it. Thanks any help.

Fan running when its hot?

Did you bleed all the air out of your coolant system when you rebuilt everything?

Its still overheating without the thermo or what. Did you check the thermo?

yeah, thermo, was bad,has not got hot, since i replace the clutch fan and electric fans, replace both with altima fans, and been doing fine, run a little better too.
