Hello i was wondering something before i did this. My head is leaking oil pretty bad! All the screws are all stripped and wont tighten it i was wondering if i took it off would it not go back on. Also how would i fix the leak? I went to a mechanic and he said that he would have to grind the head down, because it was probably warped and just putting a new gasket on would make it worse. Also how would i fix the stripped holes?

Wow your question and topic do not match......

Of your head is leaking from the head gasket, which is what it sounds like you're saying in your question, then it could be warped, you'd need to check it, or have it checked, and you'd need a new head gasket. Now if your head is wrapped, you must of over heated it, which means you may have another problem... Beyond that, how the hell do you strip out the head bolts? my god, those threads should be able to hold up to at least 100 ftlbs of torque...

Now unless you mean your "Valve cover" The cover that covers up the valves that bolts down to your head on your car... If that is what you meant, well that's much easier, you can have your valve cover resurfaced if you want, may be a good recommendation, but as far as your stripped bolts I would said you need to Heli-coil them, it's the best way to do this, and it's less likely to strip later. Heli-coiling involves drilling out the old threads, and tapping slightly newer ones, and putting replacement threads into the re-tapped hole, and your OEM bolts will fit right back in. Replace the valve cover gasket, and you'll no longer be leaking, hopefully. But remember, if you heli-coil, you can't let ANY metal shavings get into the head. That means you have to figure out away to keep metal shavings when you drill into it from getting on your valves. best way to do this it take the head off the car completely, that way if something does get in there you can wash it out.

Hey, while you have your valve cover off, you should paint it too! Paint it black. Black is a cool color, to do this, strip the paint off with some kind of automotive or aircraft stripper, then get a decent hi-heat primer, and coat it with that first, after that you can paint the color you want too. I still recommend hit heat, it'll last longer.

There, did I cover everything you could of had been possibly be asking in a post that didn't make too much sense?...
