Head bolts

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

Stupid question but is the head bolts on KA engines stretch bolt or can I re-use them?

you can still reuse them, IF they're within spec.

all bolts stretch-but KAs don't use torque to yield bolts(those are MUST replace parts)you can use a straight edge to check them-hold the bolt to the edge and look for any necked down area that indicates permanent stretch-it's usually not an issue though
