he car off and Stupuid Neutral Lockout switch! i think.........

my car used to be an automatic , and now its a 5 spd with an sr20detTheres a switch, big and metal, near the passenger sider fusebox thats under the hood, and it has to be in a certain spot for the car to start. I tried to unplug this switch , and the car started with it unplugged. i shut the car off and then tried to start it again. Nothing. Ive tried everything i can think of, does anyone know which relay is for the starter ? The driver side fusebox was broken and the relays were just flopping everywhere but i kinda taped em together , so now i cant identify which relays are which according to the book i have.Does anyone have any ideas i can try?i dont think my starter is bad, because it worked great until i started messing with that switch.the car push starts.
