Plus you have to realize the WWII is what really put the US on the map as far as being an economic, technological, and military powerhouse. To ignore it would be an atrocity, but at the same time I understand how you feel MOD, it is being overdone a bit while other wars and conflicts are being ignored. I would like to see more to commemorate the Korean War, While their are still WWII vets around, Korea, Vietnam and Gulf War vets are still around and willing to tell their stories. I'd love to see a resurgence of Vietnam movies, shows, games like what we had in the early-mid 80's, because of all the conflicts that the US military has been involved with Vietnam is my favorite.

I want to see this really bad, but I got too caught up in watching "Life" on Discovery last night.

I'll just buy the boxset for Pacific when it comes out, just like I did with Band of Brothers.

I've been watching, Some of the characters are no chit Marine Corps hero's who are singled out and taught to every recruit passing through either depot, so it's interesting to see how they are being portrayed as to what i've been taught. Gen. "Chesty" Puller, Gunnery Sergeant John Basilone are the main two that come to mind.
