Get an adapter. I have seen a bazooka mounted in a reg cab, the seats were switched to buckets and the sub was mounted between them.

Had a 10 in a flat but long box in my old 91 standard cab, lost some seat adjustability but fit. Was made by nephew who does custom boxes but can do yourself with basic tools. Get a adapter kit at any decent stereo shop for 20 or so bucks, makes head unit install a breeze.

In my 90 HB I went to a salvage yard and bought bucket seats out of a king cab. They swap right out with the bench because all of the floor pans are the same. (make sure you get the bolts when you pull the seats from the salvage yard.) I then built a center console with one 12 inch sub facing the back wall of the truck. I ported the box out the top. I covered the console with fabric from my bench seat so it all matched up fine. I wish I still had pics but they were misplaced during my divorce by my ex. I think she misplaced them in the fireplace.

Having buckets is about the only way. If you do it with a bench, I hope your'e a short guy who can drive with the seat up a ways.
